I prefer the one of the right

Haha, yeah. Dont worry the one on the left is just showing what the one on the right originally was looking like. They're the same thing, I guess you might say. :)

The left one looks like an ice sculpture, though definitely prefer the more powerful outline of right one. Wonder how it'd look with both ink and paint texture though hmm.

Thought I'd stop by to mention I was running f.lux while watching ORIGIN too btw, happy to hear there are others! :D

Yeah it's such a good tool. I cant stare at a screen without it!!!

nice- job with the texture, theres some good toon shaders out there if you want to make it cel-shaded esque

The black and white one is toon shaded. I had to tweak it repeatedly to get the right render come out. I'm really pleased I could make 3D look 2D, though its only one PNG.

A good way to achieve this once you get to animating is to reduce the frame rate on playback to something like 12 or 15fps. This will give it that cartoony sort of feel unless you are trying to do CGI like final fantasy or something.

BTW I made a tutorial incase you want to try to use makerless motion capture using a kinect and windows

Haha yeah, I figured the FPS thing out the hard way, It's a very important one. The markerless motion capture thing is new to me though! You're so sweet to reveal all your animating magic to people though, it's very refreshing to find someone who does that now days :)
Thanks for the tips :))
